Recently, both the creative director and lead writer for Bloodlines 2 were suddenly fired and replaced after working on the game from the beginning.
Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 Release Date
Bloodlines 2 will launch sometime in 2021. It was originally scheduled for March 2020 but was pushed back to an unspecified time later in the year and eventually delayed into the following year.
The delay didn’t specify a window for the 2021 release, and the reasons were much the same as they were for the previous delay.
“Our goal has always been to deliver the best game possible, to immerse you into a Seattle re-imagined in the World of Darkness, and deliver a worthy successor to the original Bloodlines game.”
The statement read. “Due to the quality bar and ambitions, we have set for ourselves, we have made the difficult decision that we need more time.
Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 Reviews
Paradox has confirmed the first five clans coming to Bloodlines 2. First revealed was the Brujah, which is one of the seven playable clans from the First Bloodlines game. There are a few of them left in Seattle and the ones that remain are from the failed Anarch movement.
The Brujah are the rebels, rabble, and rejects in modern times. Historically, they were a clan of warrior scholars, but they have always been against institutions and authority, especially the Camarilla. They still follow The Masquerade, but as Smiling jack put it in Bloodlines, you don’t need to be a part of an institution to have common sense. Their powers include Potency and Celerity.
The third revealed is the Toreador clan, a collective of vampires that use beauty and seduction techniques to lure their prey. Obsessed with the arts, the Toreador prefer to turn musicians and painters to their side. In-game, these qualities translate to Celerity and Presence, abilities that boast the clan’s incredible speed and charming wiles.
Next is the Venture clan. paradox describes the Ventures as “The clan that has already won. “As the founders of the largest vampire sect, the Camarilla, they ensure the Masquerade remains unbroken by bossing folk around from a big tower. They wield the powers of Dominate and Fortitude, making them great at manipulation while easily taking a punch.
Most recently, Paradox unveiled the final clan, the Malkavians. A fan favorite of the Bloodlines.
It launched back in November 2004, is one of the most cherished PC games of all time, and people have been clamoring for a follow-up the 15 years since. And today, at GDC, that finally became a reality. Yes, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines is getting a sequel, and it’s coming to PC and consoles in 2020.
Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 Trailer
There have been quite a few Bloodlines 2 trailer video showing off the game so far. Set in Seattle, you have recently been gone through the process known as “the embrace”, where they are drained of blood to the point of death before consuming some of the vampire’s blood. Just like the first game, you are on trial because this was done without the permission of the other vampires, only this time around, it was a mass embrace by a group of different masked vampires.
You start as Thin blood – which I have been reliably informed is a decaf version of a vampire that is about as effective against powerful beings as a wet noodle, and you will need to grow in strength to realize your potential until you eventually join a full-blood clan.
In case you don’t know to whom you should declare your allegiance, there were a lot of vignettes introducing each of the vampire’s clans, including the insane Malkavians.
