Netflix is taking another trip to The Kissing Booth. Multiple outlets, including Deadline, reported in July that a third movie in the hit teen rom-com franchise has already been filmed with Stars Joey King, Jacob Elordi, Joel Courtney, and most of the original cast. Ahead, everything we know about the third film, including its release date.
When is the Kissing Booth 3 Released on Netflix? Trailer, Cast and latest news
The kissing booth 3 is coming sooner than any fan could have hoped for as Netflix confirmed the third movie shortly after the sequel’s release.
What’s more, the surprise announcement on July 26 came with the news that the Kissing Booth 3 had already been filmed, back-to-back with the sequel, and that meant the current global situation won’t affect its release.
And they’ve already released the first clip from the movie to act as a sort of teaser trailer for the fans.
If you missed the announcement, you can catch up with all the excitement in the video below from around the 31-minute mark.
It’s lucky that the third movie is coming so quickly as the sequel ended with a major cliffhanger about Elle’s future.
But to go into the situation she’s got herself into and what we can expect to see in the third movie, we have to go into some major spoilers for The Kissing Booth 2, so look away now if you haven’t seen it.
Long story short, the sequel ends with Elle(Joey King) facing the decision to either go to Harvard to be with Noah (Jacob Elordi) or to Berkeley to fulfill her friendship promise to Lee (Joel Courtney).
That might not be the only issue facing Elle in the immediate future either.
She’s only got the money to go to Harvard because she won the Dance Dance Mania competition with Marco (Taylor Perez). The two shared a cheeky kiss at the competition, but Elle rejected him for Noah at the end.
He doesn’t seem to be over it though, and we expect we haven’t heard the last of him.
At least Elle managed to smooth things over with Noah’s new friend Chloe (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) after a misunderstanding over Chloe’s earring found under Noah’s bed, which he had no idea about.
And Lee also managed to win back Rachel (Meganne Young), so at the end of the sequel, it’s status quo for both of the central couples-but how long with it last.
When is the Kissing Booth 3 | Released Date?
The kissing Booth 3 is an upcoming American teen romantic comedy film directed by Vince Marcello, from a screenplay by Marcello and Jay Arnold. The first Kissing Booth movie arrived on May 11, 2018, and the sequel on July 24, 2020, so it’s a shorter wait for fans.

Kissing Booth 3 | Trailer
If the surprise announcement of a third movie wasn’t enough for fans, the live stream also premiered the first clip.
It sees Elle chilling out with Noah, Lee, and Rachel when she receives a call from the Harvard admissions office — which she ignores. Has she still not made her mind up where she’s going?
We’ll have to wait until nearer the third movie release for an actual trailer, but this scene is sure to keep the fans talking.
According to King, the sequel was “even better than the first movie”. If this trend is anything to go buy, Kissing Booth 3 is going to be out of this world.
The Kissing Booth 2 is now available to watch on Netflix, while The Kissing Booth 3 will arrive in 2021.
